Shaldon Water Carnival Committee
Shaldon Water Carnival is now in it's 57th successful year and is run by a committee of local volunteers who are responsible for organising and running the unique Water Carnival Day plus three other village fund-raising events - The Spring Fete, The Christmas Party and The Boxing Day 3-Legged Race.
The constant hard work of the SWC committee is helped in no small part by the generosity of local businesses who join us on event days, helping pay towards our costs and providing significant prizes for our raffles at each event.
The SWC committee gives strong support to other community activities by regularly donating funds and we encourage local charities and organisations to join us on our events.

The committee looks to the local community for support in the way of volunteers to help out on event days; we have a loyal band of friends, past committee members and spouses who regularly help out.
However, we are always looking for more people to help out as there is always lots to do, especially on event days, eg, to erect marquees, help with games, serve teas etc.
