Shaldon Water Carnival Decorated Boat Parade

The Water Carnival Boat Parade is the highlight of the day when thousands of spectators line the beach on both sides of the river to watch the colourful procession of decorated boats parade around the Teign Estuary in the afternoon.

The Shaldon Water Carnival committee would like to encourage as many boat entrants as possible to make the parade spectacle for all to see.

If you are part of a local organisation or would like to get together with family or friends we hope you will consider entering a decorated boat in the Water Carnival - There are some great cash prizes to be won (see below).

Boat Assembly Time - 4pm
Boat Parade time - 4.15pm
Prize Giving - 5pm

There are two boat entry classes which are:-
1) Motor powered boats
2) Non-motor powered boats

There is a total of £800 prize money to be won, £400 In each class as follows:
1st - £150
2nd  - £100 
3rd £75
4th £50
5th £25

 
PLUS 
​£25 prizes to be awarded for special effort (if not one of the 5 category prize winners)

There are three cups to be awarded - The Bulpin Cup, Best Overall and The Most Amusing boat
